Since the 1980s, Paolo Monti has been active in the realm of visual arts, creating meta-environmental works aimed at thinning the perceptual threshold between the visible and the non-visible. Possible images tend to occur, where the only constant is change. This is a search placed at the boundary between Art and Science, realized in works where the observer, through active involvement, becomes a participating subject capable of modifying them. Systemic works are realized through generative and self-generating processes (autopoiesis).
